I wanted to play with various papers, stickers, scraps, that I've collected over the years.

In wanting to showcase these materials in an interesting way, I decided on connecting them together via a simple center cutout, and having the pages contribute to a smaller composition within that cutout. This cutout is the visual representation of refraction of viewers as they travel through the book. 

Likewise, putting the book up to the light creates interesting shadows, and the cutout will glow.
